We'll let you know when you can reserve and register your own dot Radio domain name.
Radios are slowly being phased out but that hasn't stopped hundreds of online radios mushrooming over the past few years. These radios have a variety of radio stations to suite your taste in whatever genre you like. Some of them offer music from popular artists whereas others showcase songs from independent upcoming artists. The beauty about most of these online radio channels are that you get access to a lot more variety of music and there are no ads on most of the channels. Many of these online radios also offer people the choice of creating and customizing their own radio station that picks songs based on their preferences and creates a radio station that plays music on the fly based on your likings. The .radio extension would work wonders for such online radios. It would offer such radios a great opportunity to connect and build on their existing fan base.
This pre-order is simply an expression of interest and does not secure your desired domain name:
What is the .RADIO domain extension?
It's a new generic top-level domain (gTLD) which will be released by the internet's governing body ICANN as one of the many domain alternatives to the existing .COM, .NET or .ORG suffixes.
When can I buy a .RADIO web address?
There is no exact launch date yet. We hope registrations to begin in 2016, subject to approval by ICANN. You can pre-order domains at iwantmyname before launch and we will attempt to register them as soon as the registry opens.
How much will it cost?
No price available at this stage. Our .RADIO domain pricing will be announced closer to the Sunrise (for trademark owners) and Landrush (general availability) periods.
