We've recently released major upgrades to our dashboard which dramatically improve the setup and management of your domain names. Hopefully this will make things even easier for you!

Web application setup

There is a new overview page that lists all available apps and services. We've also added more documentation and information within the dashboard for custom domain mapping of your favourite service.

Our web app directory now contains more than 30 services in the following categories: email, blogs, website builder, forums, ecommerce, portfolios, social networks, url shortener and wikis.

New DNS manager

This tool has been completely re-written. Let us know if you have any troubles using it. We've got big plans for DNS management which are especially interesting for developers so stay tuned!

One of our core philosophies at iWantMyName is openness. For example, we we don't force you to use our nameservers and DNS hosting services for your domain names. It might even make perfect sense to seperate domain registration and DNS hosting in some cases. That's why you can always update the nameservers of your registered domains in real-time through your online dashboard to host it somewhere else.

Having total DNS control has been one of the most requested features of our power users. DNS is not only the underlying technology for our Domains for Apps but also probably the most overlooked cloud service. Hence we are pleased now to offer a low-level DNS editor which gives you full control over your domains and lets you manage DNS records completely in real-time.

The new DNS editor supports A, CNAME, MX, AAAA, TXT & SRV records. Have a look at this shiny new tool:
